Wired, for the speed
The V6 8K has no radio at all, and that is the point: a cable is what reliably carries eight thousand reports a second. An ARM Cortex-M4 with 256 KB of flash drives it, and the rate is adjustable anywhere from 125 Hz upwards.
Steel plate, four layers under it
Sound-absorbing foam, IXPE foam, a latex bottom pad and PET film sit between the steel plate and the case. The steel gives the crisp return; the layers take away the hollow ring a bare plastic shell would have.
Screw-in stabilisers
The stabilisers under the spacebar, shift, enter and backspace are screwed into the PCB rather than clipped to the plate. That is the version that does not rattle, and it accepts third-party screw-in stabilisers too.
Super switches, and any others you like
It ships with Keychron Super switches, rated to 50 million presses, in a transparent housing that lets more of the backlight through. Every socket is hot-swappable, so anything MX-style goes in without a soldering iron.
Mac and Windows on one board
A switch moves the board between macOS and Windows, and the extra keycaps for the modifier keys that differ are in the box. Keymaps for both live on the keyboard, set in the Launcher.
Per-key RGB, and a knob
Every key is lit individually from the south side of the switch, and this version carries the new knob at the top right for volume or whatever you assign it in the Launcher.
